Korknisse Pattern

This pattern fits a small wine cork. It’s knit with thick yarn (4mm needles) or 3mm needles. Please feel free to adjust the number of stitches or use different needle size based on your yarn and/or wine cork sizes.

Sweater:
Cast on 16 sts.
1st row: k1p1
2nd row: p1k1
3rd row: K
4th row: P
5th row: K
6th row: P
Cast Off

Hat:
Cast on 16 sts.
1st row: k1p1
2nd row: p1k1
3rd, 5th row: K
4th, 6th row: P
7th row: *k2tog, k3. Repeat from * till end of row. K last.
8th row: P
9th row: *k2 tog, k2. Repeat from * till end of row. K last.
10th row: P
11th row: *k2tog, k1. Repeat from * till end of row. K remaining.
12th row: P
13th row: k2tog, k1, k2tog
Draw the thread through the remaining stitches.

Optional
You can add decorations for the hat – such as ball or yarn on the top or bells…

These are great as ornaments for your Christmas tree. Remember to start savcing your wine corks…
