Easter Egg Hunt at Twin Pines Park, Belmont

Last Saturday, we joined the Easter Egg Hunt & Family Day at Twin Pines Park, Belmont. We had a table showing our artwork to our community. City of Belmont provided light refreshments, egg hunt for different age groups, face painting, bouncing house, drawing activities for kids, and lastly raffle for prizes from local sponsors.

Yee Studio was one of the sponsors for the event.

Spring Flexible Camp/Open Play starts next week – 3/27

All you can play. Sand Art & Perler Beads.

Come join us during your spring break. You can come for an hour, a few hours, or for the whole day. $12.50 per hour or $100 for the whole day (9am – 6pm). For children signing up for full day, we will also provide other side activities for them to do, or to provide them with more complex or advance projects to fill his/her day with lots of fun.

Summer is just around the corner. We have designed 4 weeks of creative and fun art camps for you. Each week is designed to have two independent art activities, one for the AM session and another one for the PM session. You can sign up for half-day (AM or PM), or full-day for each week.

Extended Care: 8:00-9:00a.m. and 4:00-6:00p.m.

Fee Schedule

$240 – 5 Days, Morning/AM or Afternoon/PM Half Day
$435 – 5 Full Days * Camp will be held on Wednesday, July 4, 2012.
Morning and afternoon Extended Care available for additional charges.

The more weeks you come, the more you save! We’re offering $20 off your second week of summer camp, $40 off your third week and beyond. For example:
If you sign up for two weeks, you will pay $435 (1st week) + $415 (2nd week) = $850.
If you sign up for three weeks, you will pay $435 (1st week) + $415 (2nd week) + $395 (3rd week) = $1,245.
If you sign up for four weeks, you will pay $435 (1st week) + $415 (2nd week) + $395 (3rd week) + $395 (4th week) = $1,640.

The discount is only applicable for full day sessions. Half-day sessions are not qualified for the discount stated here.

Refund Policy

We know summer plans can change. Our refund policy allows you to enroll in summer camp early without having to worry.

Jan‒April 30: Receive a full refund, minus a $25 processing fee per session/week cancelled.
May 1 -June 1: Receive 50% refund of your camp and extended care fees.

We are sorry, but no refunds for summer camp or extended care fees can be made after June 1. This refund policy applies to all summer camp cancellations, regardless of your original enrollment date. Camp fees will not be refunded or prorated for days of summer camp missed due to illness or injury. All requests for refunds must be received in writing.

2012 Summer Camp Themes

Week 1 AM: Chinese Watercolor Painting of San Francisco

June 25-29, 2012 Monday – Friday, 9am – noon

San Francisco is a world famous city with mix of architecture, famous landmarks, including Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard Street, cable cars etc. This year is also Golden Gate Bridge’s 75th birthday. Therefore, we have designed this workshop to introduce the architecture, landmarks and landscape of San Francisco to our campers and then lead them to create their masterpiece to honor Golden Gate Bridge’s 75th birthday. In this workshop, students will use Chinese ink and collages to create a long scroll featuring San Francisco’s architectural masterpieces and its natural scenery. This will be a contemporary piece of Chinese landscape painting with a special meaning.

Week 1 PM: Chinese Art & Culture

June 25-29, 2012 Monday – Friday, 1 – 4pm
Calligraphy, Kirigami, Lantern Making etc
During these five afternoons, you will have fun with various Chinese traditional art & craft activities, such as Chinese Calligraphy, Kirigami, Lantern Making etc. Besides learning some new art techniques, you will also learn about the Chinese culture and some Chinese festivals through story-telling etc.

Week 2 AM: Jewelry Making

July 2-6, 2012 Monday – Friday, 9am – noon
Jewelry Making Medley
During these five mornings, you will have fun making a full set of jewelry using Swarovski crystals, Japanese seed beads and other cute beads. You will make a jewelry set, including necklace, bracelet and rings. For those who had attended jewelry making classes or camps with us before, you can select other projects such as Hello Kitty pendants or other designs of your choice.

Donut & Macaroon

Week 2 PM: Cream Clay Art

July 2-6, 2012 Monday – Friday, 1 – 4pm
Cream Clay Art is the most fun and popular art nowadays! Fun for boys and girls!
In this workshop, you will create your own cabochons to put onto your cream clay art and many cream clay art pieces, including: a musical base, jewelry box, picture frame (or iPhone 4 case), hair clips and a few small pieces.

During these five mornings, you will make a miniature hawker style food stall – build and paint the stall, make all the food and accessories for the food stall.

Hand-building, Pottery Painting
During these five afternoons, you will learn the basic pottery hand-building techniques and build your own pottery art. Also, you will have fun painting your own pottery art pieces, plus another ready-to-paint bisque piece of your choice.

Week 4 AM: Fiber Art Fun

July 16-20, 2012 Monday – Friday, 9am – noon
Knitting, Weaving, Felt Art & more…
Do you know how to make yarn? What can we do with wool batt? During this week, you will work with yarn or wool batt and have fun. Try to spin your own yarn, knit, weave, needle felt, wet felt etc… You can choose to do whatever you like the best… Lots of fun… Design & Paint Tee is available on one morning as well.

Week 4 PM: 3-D Perler Beading Fun

July 16-20, 2012 Monday – Friday, 1 – 4pm
3-D Complex Projects
Perlers are small plastic beads that can be placed on a peg board to create both simple and elaborate designs with color and pattern. The Perlers are melted together with an iron. Children of any age (5 or above) enjoy this art and can play for hours. During this week, each child will work on his/her own bead art project to take home. There are many themes or patterns to choose from: 3-Dimensional Bus, Plane, Animals etc.
